The latest modification for the Yeezy Boost 350, sees the popular silhouette transformed into a football boot. It all happened at Art Basel in Miami where footwear artisan Red Ribbon Recon teamed up with football lifestyle blog, Kick to the Pitch for this one-of-a-kind design.
How did they do it? Well, they started by removing the sneakers soles and making a few adjustments of their own. Studs were taken from the Adidas Ace 15.1 and transplanted onto the YEEZY. Hence, the sneaks new name the YEEZY ‘Ace’.
It was all part a project in aid of COPA BASEL, a fan event created to bridge the divide between football and art. The glitzy event in Miami welcomed a collection of renowned players and muralists. Most notable was retired MLS star and U.S national team player, Eddie Johnson and Canadian attacker, Dwayne De Rosari.
