In Adidas’ latest Swedish Satellite Pack, the Superstar silhouette has received a makeover inspired by a camera that was taken into space…and lost forever! During a spacewalk, astronaut Michael Collins accidentally lost the Hasselblad camera which has now been dubbed the first Swedish satellite.
The shoe is exclusive for Sneakersnstuff and consists of three models. The Adidas Superstar Camera is crafted from black tumbled leather to reference the leather that covered the cameras in use in NASA’s early days.
Numbers and marks are found on the heel of the shoe which is inspired by the lens of the Hasselblad camera. The heel tab and three stripes pay homage to the rubber grip of the camera’s lens and an interior silver lining gives the pair a very space-like feel.
