For the last week we brought to you the latest images of Nike’s Black History Month collection. Now it’s time for the competition to give us a sneak peak. Adidas have just unveiled images of their BHM collection which pays homage to one of Sport’s legendary athletes. Track and field star, Jesse Owens became an American icon after breaking three world records and winning four gold medals in the Berlin summer games of 1936. It seems this impressive legacy is kept alive with this latest release from Adidas.

To recognise Owens achievement, the brand is releasing a series of sneaks which are to be worn by basketball greats, James Harden, Damian Lillard and Derrick Rose. These will make their debut during the Martin Luther King Jr. day games.

The pairs come dressed in a variety of colourrways from cream to dark brown. Each sneaks features gold signature details and the numbers 733 on the tongue. It’s a nod to the Owens bib number that was worn during his monumental events. To complete the look, a 1936 graphic print in the sockliner features.

The Adidas Black History Month collection hasn’t been given an official UK release date but keep checking our social media for updates. What do you think of this pack? Let us know your thoughts in the comments section below.
