Combining elements from the Roshe One and the iconic Cortez, the retro-fused Nike Roshe LD-1000 is launching soon in six exciting colourways: Wolf Grey, Varsity Royal, Obsidian, Black, Varsity Maize, Sport Red.
Each of the shoe’s in the range adopts a textured Cortez-like upper with tonal suede overlays which feature on the toe, vamp and heel. The Nike Roshe LD-1000 sits on top a white Natural Motion midsole and has leather swoosh branding on each of the side walls. The shoe is finished off with a leather heel panel and a set of white laces.
Let’s take an on foot look at each of the six colourways available:
Nike Roshe LD-1000 Wolf Grey
The Wolf Grey upper is complemented with Photo Blue leather overlays and swoosh branding on the sidewalls. Tonal suede overlays feature on the toe, vamp and heel and the pair sit on top a thick white midsole.
Nike Roshe LD-1000 Varsity Royal
The white Natural Motion midsole seems extra bright beneath this Varisty Royal colourway. This colour has been partnered with Varsity Maize which makes up the leather overlays and swoosh. NIKE branding is written in the same blue tone on the heel to cap off a great looking colour option.
Nike Roshe LD-1000 Obsidian
For those looking for an understated look, this Obsidian colourway may be the one for you. Not as dark as the Black version, the Obsidian is a great choice for an everyday casual sneaker which is complimented with bright White leather overlays. The midsole, overlays and tongue are all matching white to give the shoes a well rounded look.
Nike Roshe LD-1000 Black
Similar to the Obsidian, the Black colourway is a great option for those looking for a darker silhouette which still makes the same impact at the brighter variations. Again, the midsole, leather overlays and tongue are all in white, capping off a smart two-tone colour combination.
Nike Roshe LD-1000 Varsity Maize
The brightest of the bunch, the Varsity Maize edition will perfectly suit those who prefer loud and vibrant sneakers. Orange has been selected for the leather overlays and branding this time which makes a nice change to others in the collection, which opt for the opposite colour to the upper. The tonal suede overlays on this model are more noticeable, whose shade lies somewhere between the Varisty Maize upper and orange overlays.
Nike Roshe LD-1000 Sport Red
Last, but by no means least, the Sport Red colourway completes a fantastic looking range, with colours covering every sneakerhead’s taste and style. With the exception of the Varisty Maize edition, the leather overlays on this model are also the opposite colour to the upper. Midnight Navy adorns the shoe while NIKE branding on the heel pops off this dark backdrop in Sport Red.
