Nike have finally unveiled the milestone model of the all-new Air Jordan XXX. The 30th anniversary shoe is an combination of design elements from a variety of sources. The XXX represents a brand which has come full circle and come back to its roots.
The silhouette has five main components: height, toe, traction, material and fit. The man behind designing the pair was none other than Tinker Hatfield. Jordan’s request to Hatfield when designing the shoe was to “make [the shoe] look fast”. This was certainly achieved via the first-of-its-kind knitted collar and XXX graphic along the heel and forefoot.
The toe piece has been fashioned by Mark Smith by using a new printing technique which gives the wearer even more breathability.
Air Jordan XXX Release Date
The Air Jordan XXX is scheduled to release on 12th February although we are still waiting on an official price tag right now. We’ll keep you posted on this as soon as we can.
