The Cortez is one of the most instantly recognisable silhouettes from Nike, and now it’s back in a brand new style. Originally known as the Tiger Corsair, the classic runner launched in the 1970’s has received a new material upgrade just in time for the colder months ahead.
The Nike Classic Cortez Corduroy Pack consists of five stunning colourways: Team Red, Obsidian, Olive Green, Canyon Grey and Classic Brown. Let’s take a look at each pair…
All shoes in the pack are constructed from a combination of nylon uppers and corduroy. Corduroy is found on the panelling located at the tongue and heel tab which gives the shoe a new sense of style we haven’t seen before.
A large embroidered swoosh wraps around the sidewall, disappearing into the corduroy panel which lies at the heel. When people think of corduroy, they usually think of old men’s pants! Not anymore. This material has had new life breathed into it, and looks great applied on one of our favourite Nike silhouettes.
