Nike Cortez ’72 SP Closer Look

Nike Cortez '72 SP

Nike bring back one of their most loved silhouettes way back from 1972. The Nike Cortez ’72 SP has a long heritage and is one of the earliest models from Nike back when it was called Blue Ribbon Sports.

The silhouette was originally designed for Onitsuka Tiger but was instead selected by Nike which went on to become an instant hit. This 2015 edition stays as true to the original as possible, taking design cues from the model which launched over 30 years ago.

The pair features a White leather upper with Red leather accents on the Swoosh. The shoe sits on top of a White midsole with Blue details, on a jagged tooth outsole. The tongue is crafted from sponge for a soft, comfortable ride, while zig-zag details are located throughout.
