Nike have chosen to release yet another inspired basketball collection, this time coinciding with the All Star Weekend which is being held in Toronto. Sneaks from Lebron, Kobe and Durant pay homage to the athletes individual acheivments whilst celebrating the royal origins of this Canadian city. Here we take a first look at these three sneaks which are scheduled to release very soon.
The KD 8 silhouette pulls inspiration from the traditional flags which can be found throughout Toronto. Colour blocking adds some stand-out curb appeal to an otherwide subtle sneak. Removable patches are included to the heel which celebrate Durant’s impressive career whilst a transculent blue outsole represents the icy winters of Toronto.
The Kobe 11 Elite takes on a slightly different aesthetic. A combination of black and glowing green is used across the upper which symbolizes the glowing Northern Lights. A one of a kind moulded leather overlay to the heel give this pair a totally unique look.
Finally, the Lebron 13 utilises a colourway of grey and green whilst featuring some colour blocking. It’s a subtle nod to the neutral tones of winter and we think it looks great. Meanwhile, a marble pattern covers the outsole and pins celebrate the player’s on court achievements.
