Many of you may not have heard of the Ozweego silhouette from Adidas. The 90’s running shoe has been fairly low key, that is until Belgian designer Raf Simons got his hands on them. First it was the Stan Smith’s, now Adidas Consortium team up with Raf once more for the Adidas x Raf Simons Ozweego II Red.
The sleek 90’s runner is dressed in a bright red synthetic and mesh upper which is both lightweight and durable. If the colour wasn’t eye catching enough, the shoes are dotted with translucent silicone bubbles along the sidewalls, tongue and heel. These bubbles have no functional qualities to them, they just look cool! The bubble on the tongue to subtly embossed with Raf Simons branding.
The pair sits on top of a matching red Adiprene midsole and Adiwear outsole, providing innovative cushioning with each step. On the heel, you’ll find subtle three-stripe branding and the look is finished off with a pair red laces.
Adidas x Raf Simons Ozweego II Red Release Date
The Adidas x Raf Simons Ozweego II Red is available now with a price tag of £235. This may be a little higher price point that we’re used to, but anything with Raf Simon’s style applied to it is certainly worth the extra money. You can find all the retailers right here.
