German based technical apparel label Acronym team up with Nike to create the highly anticipated Nike x Acronym Lunar Force. This is the first collaboration between the two designers which aims to incorporate function and form to create a one-of-a-kind silhouette.
The shoes are constructed from premium black suede and sit on top of a thick white Lunarlon midsole. All attention however is drawn towards the large white YKK zipper which runs across the side panel of the shoe.
The zipper replaces a traditional lacing system and has a pull tab to make it easier to use. With the simple addition of this zipper feature, the shoe is elevated into a brand new category of designer footwear.
Branding is found on the black perforated tongue and a patent leather heel provides an interesting combination of textures and materials. Inside the shoe are co-branded insoles and the look is finished off with a set of black laces which are unlikely to be needed to be tied!
