PUMA continues their fruitful relationship with alternative sportswear designers ICNY for the ICNY X PUMA Collection. The pack aims to push the boundary of sneaker innovation and bridge the gap between sport and lifestyle.
The story behind the ICNY brand is a touching one. Founder Mike Cherman was hit by a car while riding his bicycle, which gave him the motivation to create the brand who adds high visibility and reflective materials on key areas of sport clothing and accessories.
For their second collaboration, the duo have selected PUMA’s latest runner, the IGNITE, and adorn it with ICNY’s signature reflective flair. The shoe provides superior cushioning due to the IGNITE Foam which disperses energy through the midsole, making it easier for the wearer to run for longer periods of time.
The IGNITE Ice Cream combines style and function and comes in two colourways inspired by chocolate chip cookie dough and mint chocolate chip.
The upper is constructed mesh and full-colour 3M reflective material. The pair sits on top of a speckled midsole and outsole to resemble chocolate chips found in ice cream.
ICNY X PUMA Collection Release Date
The ICNY X PUMA Collection is scheduled to release on 12th September and have a price tag of £115. We’ll keep you updated on where to find a pair very soon.
