The Cortez silhouette from Nike is one of the most recognisable pieces of footwear in the sneaker world. Since its release in 1972, the shoes have been released in various colours and styles and have even featured in movies, most notably Forrest Gump.
This new pair dubbed the NikeLab Cortez ’72 is an exact replica of the pair that first hit the shelves almost 43 years ago!
The shoes have the same features from the zig-zag sole to the back pull-tab, to retain as many characteristic as possible to the original pair.
The shoe is constructed from a white premium leather and features a rubber toe-cap at the front and foam spongy tongue with Nike branding.
To set the record straight, these are not the kicks from Forest Gump! They were the 1977 version but do look quite similar!
