Legendary American footballer, Victor Cruz may not be showing signs of returning to New York Giants but the star is still as eminent in sneaker wear design as ever. The Nike Air Trainer Cruz Wolf Grey is the latest iteration from the man himself, this time featuring in a sleek grey colourway.
This highly unique pair has taken design inspiration from the ancient models of Bo Jackson’s cross-sport training sneaks. A chunky Velcro strap provides that snug low down fit and gives the silhouette its unique aesthetic. The back sidewall includes raised diamond-shaped detailing whilst an addition heel strap continues along the chunky theme.
Featuring a visible Air Max unit, a midsole contrasts perfectly in a combination of black speckled and white. Nike branding to the tongue and heel in maroon provides some much needed colour. Finally, the pair includes the words ‘Dancing With The Stars’ on the Velcro strap as a homage to Vic’s touchdown dances which landed him a spot in the classic reality TV programme.
