As we all know, when Nike drop a sneaker in the formidable Black/Red colour scheme we all instantly want it.
With that in mind, Nike threw out a wicked Bred option on the Huarache sneaker last year aimed at men.
This year however Nike have brought the woman back into the mix with an alternate Bred silhouette.
Nike Air Huarache Run WMNS “University Red/White/Black” aka Alternate
Since its release last month, this new colourway has been pretty much a sleeper among the Huarache scene.
Nicknamed the Alternate purely because of the dominant colour being University red as opposed to Black on a true Bred sneaker.
The overlay of this woman’s run oozes vibrancy with that bright red house colour often used by Nike.
A metallic OG mesh is what we associate with a Huarache aimed at the ladies and this one is no different.
Using that same University Red colour option as the overlay, the vamp nicely blends into the entire front portion of the shoe.
Black is used on the tongue and collar of the sneaker and is what defines the Bred look that we know works well together.
We do see a splash of white on the tongue logo patch which just adds to the overall awesome look of the shoe.
University Red is again used on the support part of the shoe in the form of a heel cage and strap that wraps around the rear.
A perfect cut away look showing off all the different colours is a must at the back end of a Huarache and a great one is on offer here.
White and Black finish the shoe off in familiar fashion on the mid-sole and out-sole units and overall a slick looking Huarache is produced.
We agree that stock or catalogue images sometimes don’t do the trainer justice and so with this look we hope it spurs some of you into purchasing the Nike Huarache Alternate.
