World class athlete Kevin Durant, didn’t get to where he is today without a lot of hard work. Will power, determination and perseverance were among the qualities he possessed when he made his transition from a dreamer to a doer.
In order to help her son achieve his dream of playing in the NBA, Wanda Pratt, Durant’s mother, encouraged him to get stronger and fitter if he wants his dream to come true. To do this, Durant’s mother woke him early mornings and made him run up a steep nearby hill called Hunt’s Hill.
The grueling task was performed every morning and after raining sessions to help build a supreme athlete. This latest edition of the KD8 pays tribute to that hill.
The sneakers sit on a black midsole and with a bright red upper to reflect the sunrise Durant saw when he ran up Hunt’s Hill.
