Superstar rapper Kendrick Lamar continues his fruitful relationship with Adidas and unveil the new Kendrick Lamar x Reebok Ventilator. The silhouette takes an understated approach to celebrate the 25th anniversary of the Ventilator.
The pair are crafted from a clean premium nubuck upper in white with perforated detailing on the sidewalls. There is a pigskin leather lining which adds to the premium quality of the shoe.
The shoes are inspired by the two infamous gangs from Lamar’s hometown of Compton. The Blood’s and The Crip’s have a rivalry dating back for decades which has all but tore the community apart over the years. Lamar’s music aims to squash the rivalry, as do these shoes. One shoes has Red on the heel, while the other has Blue. These are the gangs representative colours. On the tongue, along with branding is the word “Neutral” to bring the gangs into neutral territory.
Images viaThe pair come with rounded rope laces and an additional set of waxed tonal laces. A gum outsole completes the look and gives the shoe an OG feel.
