The Nike KD 8 V8 is the latest colourway from Kevin Durant’s line, schedule to launch this Saturday.
Following the release of the 4th of July version, the next colourway from the line is inspired by the basketball star’s prized Red Camaro. The colourway is taken directly from the car itself which Durant says makes people “break their neck to look at”.
Durant’s range of sneakers will consist of four pairs, each inspired by parts of his life. The first was Independence Day, a holiday that was special to him growing up. The second is the V8, his 600bhp car which was a symbol of what he has achieved.
The third and fourth are the Hunt’s Hill and Suit edition. These shoes were inspired by a nearby hill he trained on growing up and the suit he wore during his MVP speech.
The shoe includes two technical firsts in a Nike Basketball shoe: the Flyweave upper and full-length Zoom Air unit. The shoe has a dominant cherry-red colourway and is inspired by the sabretooth tiger, which Durant has tattooed above his ankle.
Nike KD 8 V8 Release Date
