Massachussets based designers Concepts collaborate with Finnish footwear brand KARHU for a retake on their Aria silhouette; Concepts x KARHU Aria Helsinki Station.
The shoe draws its inspiration from the Finnish capital of Helsinki and KARHU’s home town. The runner was originally launched way back in the 90’s and has been given a premium makeover by Concepts. Design elements have been lifted from Helsinki Train Station and applied directly to the silhouette.
Teal and Blue suede adorns the upper, which reflects the Green copper roofs of the station. The inner lining is in Bright Orange, referencing the Finnish sunsets. A Granite coloured midsole complements the overall colourway and pays tribute to the iconic glowing granite stone at Helsinki Station.
Although this isn’t a particularly well known brand, as you can see, the shoe looks great and wouldn’t look out of place among other more popular brands. What do you guys think of the Aria?
