Eccentric Japanese contemporary artist Takashi Murakami teams up with sports footwear & apparel brand Vans for the Vans x Takashi Murakami Collection.
Murakami’s artistic style consists of lots of anime-inspired works with bold and lively colours. Two of his most iconic motifs, the smiling flower and skull patterns, have been incorporated into this limited-edition collection of footwear and apparell.
The Classic Slip-on silhouette is available in six unisex colourways, half showcasing the smiling flower pattern while the rest feature the skull motif.
The second part of the collection is the clothing which also features multi-coloured smiling flowers, skulls and an image of Takashi Murakami himself. The collection even includes a set of limited-edition skateboard decks.
