Continuing their partnership that began back in December 2014, Reebok and superstar rapper Kendrick Lamar have unveiled the new Kendrick Lamar x Reebok Ventilator. This will be the first shoe from the artists upcoming collection.
This design stays true to its classic roots and original concept. The shoes are constructed from a clean White upper made from premium pigskin nubuck. There is perforated detailing and pigskin leather lining for a quality finish that we would expect from the Grammy winning rapper.
The understated shoe is accented with hits of Blue and Red on the sockliners and tongue tab. Written in their colours, Blue and Red feature on the back of each heel. This represents the gang colours residing in Kenrick’s home town of Compton.
The shoe’s aim to end gang violence in Compton and feature the words “Neutral” on the tongue to represent the gangs calling an end to the hate. The pair come with rounded rope laces and an additional set of waxed tonal laces.
