PUMA join forces with Singapore based brand Limited EDT to help commemorate 50 years since the country gained its independence. In 1965, Singapore was ejected from Malaysia and steadily became one of the leading countries in the world.
This project draws inspiration from Singapore’s iconic Merlion, a symbol for the country of a mythical creature with the head of a lion and a body of a fish.
The shoes are crafted from a range of textures and materials to reflect the fabled Merlion. We think the combination of unusual textures look awesome!
Silver pony hair wraps around the toe box to resemble the mane of the lion, while fish scales are printed onto the 3M reflective overlays to resemble the serpent’s body.
The pair sit on a speckled white midsole and come with a set of red and white laces. The blue outsole matches the inner lining and the look is finished off with red branding on the tongue.
