In 1979, Reebok launched the Aztec silhouette which was considered groundbreaking due to its dual density midsole, offering different levels of support where it’s needed the most. 26 years later, the Reebok Aztec OG is being reintroduced in its original colourway just in time for the summer. Have a look through these excellent shots and see if this retro design is for you…
The OG runner is constructed from a combination of nylon and suede with leather overlays. The shoe is predominately dressed in vivid blue with striking side stripes in contrasting red and yellow.
The pair stay as true to the original as possible, as identified by the use D-ring speed lacing, a dual density midsole and black rubber waffle outsole.
On the heel you’ll find classic Reebok branding and a luxurious suede panel wraps around the rear of the shoe.
For a brand whose idea was first generated in a pub over some pints, Reebok have gone on to have tremendous success. Reebok is arguably the biggest shoe brand to come out of England, and this model is a testament to their heritage.
