The Nike MAG is consider the holiest of holy grails in the sneaker world. After debuting in blockbuster film Back To The Future II, sneakerheads the world over salivated at the idea of possibly owning a pair someday.
There have been rumours and reports of Nike working on a real power-lacing pair of MAG’s, but there is very little information on this. This lack of uncertainly has pushed some ‘heads into making a replica pair of their own.
Brad Fyfe, a member of online movie prop community RPF, shows us how he altered a Made in China fake replica pair of the MAG’s to make them both function and look like the real sneaker.
Every detail is accounted for including swapping cheap LED lights, re-shaping the toe boxes and re-customising the sole. The result is really impressive… however nothing beats the official version!
