Kanye West’s first ever collaboration with Adidas has been a big success since its release earlier this year. The Yeezy Boost is a contemporary silhouette with simple and premium material. Some might say the next step in contemporary footwear.
Hate it or love it, this limited edition pair has been one of the biggest releases of 2015. As with any other popular silhouette, many sneakerheads have taken to customising their Yeezy’s. We take a look at some of the best customs seen so far. We’re really impressed with some of them and cringe at others. so look forward to seeing what you guys think!
Black Suede
Starting off with arguably the most infamous pair to date. This customisation caused a stir online when Kim Kardashian called this pair out as a fake. Customised for jeweller, Ben Baller by Donovan Cortese, these sneaks get a sleek makeover with the upper dyed all black.
Yeezy Boost ‘Breds’
New York based footwear designer, Modern Vice, chose an iconic theme for their rework. This red and black colourway, known as Bred has long been a sneaker favourite, first made famous by the Air Jordan 1. This pair also replaced the typical suede and leather upper with python skin.
Ronny Fieg x Yeezy Boost
Sneaker designer and colourist, Ronny Fieg is best known for his collaborations with ASICS. This creation sees him join an ASICS ‘Mints’ to a Yeezy Boost sole. It’s daring and risky but as with most of his designs, it works.
Chris Brown Graffiti 
You may not know that Chris Brown is a talented graffiti artist. The infamous star has chosen to tag up his Yeezy’s and has added a cartoon image of Kanye on the left heel, while the Graduation Bear from Kanye’s Graduation album is plastered on the right side.
Maggi
Russian based customiser Maggi, is a talented sneaker surgeon that has given the pair its most premium makeover to date. The grey suede upper has been removed and replaced with tan leather. Purple inner lining and a split green and white midsole makes for an inspired and unique finish.
