The latest instalment to come out of the NikeLab is the NikeCourt Air Trainer 1 x Fragment.
Nike continue their fruitful relationship with Japanese based Fragment Design to pay homage to London’s biggest summer tennis tournament, Wimbledon. Head designer Hiroshi Fujiwara has been involved with lots of Nike projects, and we’re looking forward to getting on hands on this one. In May, the classic cross-trainer silhouette was redesigned to honour the French clay tournament, and this time, it’s South-West London’s turn.
There are two colourways available, each a tribute to the grass courts of Wimbledon in a striking green and white colour combination. The white edition is constructed from premium white leather and celebrates the iconic all-white dress code of the tournament. The accents and outsole are green to represent the playing surface.
The colour palette is switched for the opposite colourway and also features iconic Nike Air insignia and iconic strap across the front of the foot.
NikeCourt Air Trainer 1 x Fragment Release Date
The NikeCourt Air Trainer 1 x Fragment has no official release date as of yet, but we are sure it will drop sometime before the Wimbledon Tournament starts. We’ll keep you posted on any updates regarding the shoes. As always, keep your eye on our social media pages for this news.
