The Nike MTM Collection is coming.
In March 1985, the Air Jordan 1 began the legacy that would change sneaker culture forever. It’s 2015, and Jordan Brand remains to be arguably the biggest player in the sneaker market. No one could have expected the success of the Jordan line, especially after it’s rocky start with colourways being banned from the NBA from the very beginning.
The world’s first MTM collection, draws upon the incredible talented individuals behind the brand: Michael Jordan, Tinker Hatfield and Mark Parker. This latest pack pays homage to the player, designer and CEO, and explores the shoe’s 30-year lineage with an updated design for past and present silhouettes.
The two-pair pack consists of two models: The Air Jordan XX9 and the classic Air Jordan 1.
The MTM Air Jordan XX9 is constructed from a rich black leather as opposed to its usual Flyweave material. The modern sneaker is crafted with FlightPlate technology which acts as a bridge between the forefoot and heel, enhancing the Zoom air cushioning within.
The original Air Jordan 1 silhouette celebrates 30 years of Jumpman heritage, and has a Flyweave upper to mix past iconic style with present day materials. A lightweight, one-piece upper is detailed with intricate patterning and sits on a crisp white midsole.
Nike MTM Collection Release Date
The Nike MTM Collection will be available initially on 13th June exclusively via a raffle at the NikeLab P75 store in Paris. However, both shoes will be coming soon to select NikeLab destinations worldwide. Keep it here for updates.
