The 25th anniversary of Reebok’s popular Ventilator silhouette has attracted collaborations with big name sneaker boutiques including END, Foot Patrol and Mita Sneakers. However, for the latest edition of the sleek runner, Reebok have paired up with a lesser known (but by no means less creative) French artist, Koralie.
The Montpellier visionary now currently resides in Brooklyn, New York, and boasts an attractive portfolio of artwork across a variety of mediums including paintings, digital design and streetwear. Because of her experience and talent, there’s no wonder why she caught the eye of Reebok.
As you may expect, her take on the Ventilator is like no other we have seen before. Koralie uses Native American design as her influence and crafts the shoe with a moccasin inspired aesthetic, featuring a faux leather woven effect across the upper. The shoes have perforated suede overlays and a frilled leather tongue hanging over each toe for a distinctive look.
The pair have the illustration of an Indian girl lasered onto each heel, with a complimentary matching keychain hanging from the eyelet. Three green beads are woven onto the front of the pink rope laces to add a final touch of creativity and flair.
